Hello and welcome to Lifeline Medical. Below, we have included all necessary information about our offices, and scheduling with our offices. Please review this information carefully, as it is crucial to ensuring that your appointment is scheduled and completed smoothly.
Lifeline Medical Center is a Mental Health Company offering Therapy and Psychiatry services in Pennsylvania (both telehealth and in-person), Oregon (only telehealth), and Michigan (only telehealth). All Telehealth sessions scheduled with the providers at our offices are completed through Therapy Portal.
Upon requesting an appointment with a provider at Lifeline Medical Center, one of our schedulers at our office will contact you. This call can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. Upon speaking with you, the scheduler will first confirm the availability of the appointment you requested. Our scheduling team will promptly notify you if an appointment request needs to be adjusted and will secure the first available appointment.
Once your appointment is confirmed, the scheduler assisting you will provide you access to the portal and guide you through the necessary steps to complete any required documentation as well as how to complete your appointment with the provider when it comes time to doing so. Additionally, you will receive an email containing all the information provided during the phone consultation, as well as our main office phone number, the link to our portal, the scheduler’s phone number, and the scheduler’s email address in case of any further assistance.
If you do not receive the email and require assistance, please contact our office at 814-408-0014. If our scheduling team is not available, please leave a voicemail, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Upon scheduling your appointment, kindly upload a photo ID to verify your residency and personal identification. Additionally, please upload your insurance card to avoid out-of-pocket expenses. Upon requesting your appointment, you will receive a notification from Zocdoc indicating that two documents will need to be completed. You may need to close Zocdoc and return to your appointment request to view these documents. We kindly request that you complete these documents as soon as possible. These documents are identical to those you would complete if you were being seen in the office. The first document you will need to complete is the intake form, which will include your name, date of birth, Social Security number, emergency contact information, and other relevant details. The second document you will need to complete is the history form, which provides the Therapist and/or Psychiatrist with comprehensive information about your mental health history and needs. These documents are crucial and must be completed within 24 hours before your scheduled intake appointment. Failure to complete these documents may result in the rescheduling of your appointment.

I couldn’t get an app with anyone from psych in Harrisburg …one was gonna be an intake and not be seen by a doc till 3 weeks away ..I had been w/o my meds for 4 days already at this point so this place was a god sent..I got seen within a day and back on my meds…I can’t say enough about this place !!!

There aren't many providers of color that are women, so I really appreciated the representation. Being able to talk to someone that looked like me was refreshing, then getting down to the actual session she is very patient. I know it's her job but she actually seems like she cares. I didn't have to repeat anything, she kept pace with me the entire time and suggested what I should do next rather than ask. Which I also appreciate.

They rescheduled my appointment then she did not show up at the time THEY needed it to be. She did not call me. Their office did not pick up their phone either and there was no direct way to message or call her. This was an extremely important appointment that had a lot riding on it and she wasted my time without consideration. I waited over 45 minutes for any communication and received nothing.
I would not recommend her or her practice or booking her over Zocdoc. Please look somewhere else.

Dr. Richards was very polite, friendly, thorough, and prompt. She took time to listen and be sure she understood my symptoms and concerns and asked if she could do anything else or if I had any questions before she ended the appointment. She is well versed in treating depression and anxiety and provided a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to my needs. It was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend her.

John Coxey really listened to me. He asks very thorough questions so he can get to know u and what's going on. He assured me I was in a safe space and could be open and honest with absolutely no judgement. He's super easy to talk to. He was on time for my appointment. And explained the treatment and med plan very well. And booked me with another appointment right away for a couple of weeks so he can see how the medicine adjustments are working good. I was having a terrible time, I was looking forward to this appointment for a while. They sent out emails and text the entire week before, I confirmed my appointment…. I receive a text the day before saying they will email me with the information to my appointment. 10am time of my appointment, I wake up early, get ready and they never email me, never text. I called there office from the number they provided, no answer. This was after they rescheduled me because of my “insurance” … I chose them on ZocDoc because they supposedly took my insurance. Something shady is happening in that building, DO NOT waste your time. I went on ZocDoc to find doctors BY INSURANCE so this was all incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. -10 out of 10
