Lighthouse To Freedom
Dr. Homewood got the idea to start an opiate withdrawal treatment center during the pandemic. After reading that the number of individuals suffering from this affliction had tripled, he realized there was a significant need and that the numbers were growing faster than the assistance was available.
In approximately 2020, Dr. Homewood went to the Arizona Corporate Commission website and created a new LLC (Lighthouse To Freedom). He subsequently began looking for a site to conduct this new business. Unfortunately, over the years he has been unable to find a suitable location. Upon hearing from a patient that he was receiving substance use treatment through a virtual healthcare company, Dr. Homewood decided to open Lighthouse To Freedom through a telehealth platform–enabling effective virtual healthcare.
Lighthouse To Freedom will not have contracts with insurance companies, because Dr. Homewood feels their corporate goals interfere with the physician-patient relationship. I have been seeing Dr. Homewood for well over 15 years now and have always found him to be a caring provider. He will take the time to listen, and will ask questions if he needs to clarify anything. It seems this is a rarity any more!
The only time I EVER experienced any issues was when he was affiliated with the company he is no longer with. Now that he is LIGHTHOUSE TO FREEDOM, he is again free to “Doctor” without the corporate oversight he, and his patients, had to endure.
