For over 30 years Dr. Liva has been earning his patients' trust by providing superb ophthalmic care. Our courteous staff is professional and well-trained. They are happy to answer your questions and work with you to find the most convenient appointment.
Please note that it is the patient's responsibility to call their insurance ahead of time to confirm their specific plan is in network with the doctor they would like to see at Liva Eye Center. We will verify your benefits the day-of the appointment, but we are unable to do so ahead of time. To know ahead of time what your coverage is and what you'll owe out of pocket, please ask your insurance company. Our ophthalmologists do not accept any vision vendors (eyemed, VSP, etc.); however, our optometrist, Dr. Rose Frasco, does accept Davis Vision. Please call the practice directly if you'd like to see Dr. Frasco.
We offer easy scheduling on our website eyemd.com or through ZocDoc. Likewise, we are always happy to schedule by phone or go over any questions. In most cases, you will still hear from us by phone to confirm info if you schedule online.

They don’t take eye insurance then tell you have to go out of pocket which who knows what that price will be. They say you can try with your medical insurance but they may or may not accept the claim. They should call you ahead of time before driving there to find this out instead of getting there and finding this out. I’ve heard good things about the Liva family but didn’t like the way there running this office.

Great doctor. Friendly and thorough and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend! Also the equipment is state of the art. I have become really skeptical about the medical profession as a whole these last 2 years due to so much conflicting information that is constantly changing, but despite that, I really trusted Dr. Liva. I will be taking my kids there once they are old enough for eye exams.

Dr. Liva is wonderful and a fab doctor. His staff is lovely. His eye center is impressive, comfortable and convenient. At our age, it is very important to have an excellent ophthalmologist to keep our eye sight in the best condition and health. I’m confident Dr. Liva efficiently and professionally does so for us. I am disappointed in DocZoc because I booked with this Doctor since they were in my Cigna network but when I checked in they informed me that the Cigna policy doesn’t cover vision. That is a glitch for this app. I am not satisfied.

Wow. I have never left a review for a doctor but I couldn't not for Dr. Liva. He was so welcoming and patient and actually spent time with me to listen and address my issues and concerns. He promised he would look into a new medication for me and get back to me. The following morning I had a missed call and an email from him with the information on the eye drops that could help me. I called him back and he answered right away. He really cares and took the time not only to help me while I was there, but did research after I left and followed up with me less than 24 hours later. I truly appreciate his dedication and I will be coming back to him for all my eye care needs.
