Live Well Psychology Group

You've done the work. You've read the books, maybe tried therapy before, and you can explain your patterns better than most people can. And still, one comment, one flare-up, or one rough morning can send your body into overdrive. You're not doing anything wrong. Insight is a great start, but lasting change usually has to happen in the nervous system too, not just in your understanding of yourself. Live Well Psychology Group is a boutique practice in Los Angeles built around that idea. We work with women who are capable, self-aware, and still feel stuck: in a pattern, in their bodies, in a relationship, or in a version of themselves they're ready to move past. Our team combines evidence-based somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, and a deep respect for each client's full story, cultural, relational, and physical. Who we treat Our clients come to us navigating: Anxiety and burnout. High-functioning women who look fine on the outside and are running on empty underneath. Many are professionals, creatives, caregivers, or some combination of all three. Trauma and PTSD/CPTSD. The aftermath of chronic childhood trauma, medical trauma, or loss/grief. Chronic pain and chronic illness. Conditions like endometriosis, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, cancer, along with the health anxiety that often develops alongside a difficult diagnosis. Relationship and attachment patterns. Recurring conflict, communication struggles, trust ruptures, and the patterns people learned early in life and are ready to understand and shift, in both individual and couples therapy. Grief and life transitions. Breakups, pregnancy loss, becoming a parent, career pivots, moves, and other moments where identity and daily life are shifting at once. Many of our clients share a common thread: they are the ones everyone else counts on. They are used to holding things together, explaining their own patterns with real insight, and still finding themselves hijacked by anxiety, a flare, or a conflict they can't seem to stop repeating. If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. Our approach We believe healing isn't purely cognitive. It lives in the nervous system, the body, and often in the deeper layers of identity, culture, and relationship. Talk therapy alone can build insight without building change, especially for people who already understand their patterns intellectually. Our team draws from evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work), somatic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and emotion-focused therapy, and integrates nervous-system-informed tools like grounding, breathwork, and Yoga Nidra. The goal is always the same: to help you move from understanding your patterns to actually changing them, in your body and in your daily life. Sessions are warm, collaborative, and paced to you. You won't be rushed, judged, or handed a script. You will be met with curiosity, structure where it's useful, and honesty, always delivered with compassion. Meet the team Dr. Alexia Holovatyk, Ph.D. — Licensed Psychologist Dr. Alexia's approach integrates evidence-based, somatically informed modalities with a holistic view of mind, body, and spirit, while holding clients lovingly responsible for creating the change they want to see in their lives. Aleena Kaka, AMFT Aleena is most passionate about working with women navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, and identity-related stress, often professionals, creatives, or caretakers who are used to holding a lot for other people. As an immigrant herself, Aleena brings particular depth to working with bicultural women balancing multiple roles, expectations, and cultural worlds. Her clients often arrive feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to break patterns that no longer serve them, including patterns shaped by family, culture, or generational expectations. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and authentic, integrating evidence-based and trauma-informed practices with a holistic, mind-body perspective. She works from a multicultural, social-justice-informed lens, recognizing how systemic and cultural factors shape individual experience, so clients receive care that is both evidence-based and culturally attuned. Sessions with Aleena are grounding and supportive, balancing emotional insight with tangible tools clients can use in daily life, whether that's managing anxiety, improving communication, or strengthening their sense of self. What a session looks like Your first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. You don't need to have it all figured out or share your entire history at once. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you'd like to feel like, and how we can support you in getting there. In ongoing sessions, we typically check in on what's alive for you that week, then follow the thread, whether that's a recurring pattern, a hard moment, a symptom flare, or something you've been carrying for a while. We talk it through, and we also slow down to notice what's happening in your body as it comes up. Depending on what's useful, that might include parts work (IFS), a grounding or breathing practice, or a short guided meditation. You're always in charge of the pace. Logistics Fee: Session fees range from $175 to $300, depending on the clinician and type of therapy. Insurance: Some of our providers are private pay, and some accept Aetna and Medicare. For private-pay sessions, we provide a superbill so you can submit it to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. It's worth calling your insurer ahead of time to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits, or asking us which providers accept your plan. Intake: Before your first visit, you'll receive electronic intake forms by email to complete ahead of time. Location: In-person sessions are available on LA's West Side. Virtual sessions are available throughout California. If this resonates If you're tired of understanding your patterns intellectually but still feeling stuck in them, or if your body has been asking for attention that talk alone hasn't addressed, we'd love to talk.
