LivingArt Dentistry has recently welcomed Dr. Diana Levingart, their daughter and fellow graduate of NYUCD Class of 2015, as an associate. Dr. Diana is incorporating her love of sculpture and fascination in the biology of aesthetics into the realm of Cosmetic Dentistry by pursuing a Fellowship with the AACD. With a background in holistic wellness and nutritional studies, Dr. Diana hopes to educate patients in preventive dentistry and the effects of oral health and nutrition on body and cognitive functioning. She looks forward to incorporating her studies in the Psychology of dental fear and anxiety into her practice to provide an outstanding, pain-free, toxin-free and aesthetic restoration options in a calm and supportive environment.

In 30 years of dental appointments, this was by far the worst I've ever experienced mainly due to the hygienist. She was really rough and her demeanor was rude on top of it. If you notice that your patient is clearly uncomfortable and/or in pain, you should at the very least be communicative rather than continuing to stab at their mouth. I would say that the dentist was nice, but it was a complete façade as she tried blaming me not flossing enough for the pool of blood I spit out after the hygienist was done. I've been using the same brushing/flossing practices for decades and have never experienced this level of blood and gum tissue coming out of my mouth. From a patient's perspective, I know what a good hygienist is, so being treated as ignorant or that my opinion doesn't matter by the dentist was truly disappointing. If you want to run a positive, successful practice, you should really work on bedside manner. I spent many years in the hospitality industry and it turns out sometimes the customer is right and your employee needs to work on bettering their work ethic and technique.
Waited an hour to be seen and then during the cleaning the dental assistant was rough and cut my gums. It’s been 6 hours and I’m still bleeding in a few spots.
It’s probably unheard of for one to describe their experience at the dentist as “a pleasure” but having dental work done by Dr. Diana is likely the closest thing to it. I’ve been to her several times, and each time I’m blown away by her level of care, bedside manner and impeccable work. It’s rare to find a dentist who takes the time and interest in not only ensuring a painless and comfortable experience, but who also cares enough to explain each step of the process and check in with you along the way. It feels like I’m in the hands of a deeply empathetic, expert artist, and my smile looks amazing as a testament. A big thank you to Dr. Diana and the team!

I really liked this doctor. She was warm and thorough and took the time to explain everything to me. I would highly recommend her for routine evaluation or cleanings, etc. I was concerned however about the costs that went with the procedures she recommended (various fillings) - they were not in line with the negotiated rates that the insurance company quoted me for this practice. When I called my prior dentist, the same procedures had the exact costs that the insurance company listed. So.. there are either additional, hidden costs with Dr Levingart's practice or they are not honoring the negotiated rates. When I left a message hoping to discuss this, I did not receive a call back. Switching back to my old dentist, despite the much longer commute. Too bad.
My Visit was Incredible. Not only was she very easy going and very knowledgeable, her confidence in what she was doing put me at ease. I had only been to a dentist 3 times in my life before this visit. Naturally had a bunch of anxiety about this visit but Dr. Levingart made all my fears disappear. Highly recommended. Dr. Levingart is friendly and seems knowledgeable. The one downside is that on my last visit she was running behind schedule, so her father took over my appt. Dr. Gary Levingart was also gentle and friendly, however, I have had recurring headaches since he filled my cavities. I will ask about this when I go back in a few weeks.

Diana did this amazing thing when injecting my mouth with the anesthetic. It was incredible - didn't hurt at all and I barely knew she was doing it. Really friendly and helpful in all other respects.
I have serious dentist anxiety but Dr. Levingart alleviated it! She was gentle, patient, and made sure to explain everything she was doing and what it would feel like. I didn't experience any pain; when I was uncomfortable during a portion of the cleaning, she stopped and took her time to resume and work in short sections until she was done cleaning the troublesome tooth. I highly recommend her!
