With over a decade of clinical and leadership experience in mental health care, a deep commitment to trauma-informed treatment, and a strong foundation in diverse therapeutic modalities, I bring a compassionate and comprehensive approach to supporting clients on their healing journeys.
I hold a MA and Ed.S. degrees in Community Counseling from Rider University (2009) in addition to a BM and MM degrees in Performance and Pedagogy (Westminster Choir College of Rider University). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey and Colorado, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York, and hold National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credentials.
My clinical work has focused on trauma recovery, on mood regulation and personality disorders management, helping clients increase self-trust, develop resilience, and reconnect with life beyond trauma. I have served as a Counselor Therapist, Anxiety and Trauma Track Coordinator, Internship Program Coordinator, Program Director for PHP/IOP/EOP levels of care programs, and Trauma and Dissociations Program Lead. I integrate approaches such as DBT, CBT, Internal Family Systems, Focusing- Oriented Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction to meet individuals where they are and guide them toward stability and growth.
I believe in empowering clients to become trauma-educated, build meaningful coping strategies, and transition toward a sense of safety and strength in their daily lives.

Aurora was and is amazing, she became my therapist right away by being exactly what I needed. I’m extremely glad I scheduled with her and she’s now helping me.

Aurora is very patient and gentle. She knows how to dig a little deeper for me to understand myself more and the reason why I think or act a certain way. She has helped me with my healing tremendously and I’m extremely grateful for her. She has a warm loving soul.

Aurora Clark, LPC is a masterful therapist whose combined knowledge, skill and wisdom are akin to trauma experts Gabor Maté and Janina Fischer. Aurora’s expertise spans both the scientific and soulful, balancing understanding of the impact trauma has on our brain and nervous system, with her unwavering ability to guide patients towards healing.
At 52 years old, I experienced a sort of breakdown, when long-term effects of suppressed childhood trauma and unresolved C-PTSD led to collapse. I was extremely depressed and stuck in a dissociative state, unable to bring myself back. With compassion and care, using IFS/parts work, CBT and DBT, Aurora helped me find my true Self and identify parts of me still burdened by trauma. I continue to work with Aurora to help me heal and integrate fragmented aspects of self, learn healthy coping skills, and retrain my brain. Therapy with Aurora Clark helped bring me back to life, and now, I feel empowered to create a better life than I’ve ever lived.

It’s hard to adequately describe what great therapist Aurora is. Ive had many, many therapists and she’s is the best, by far. Her natural compassion and insight combined with her immense and wide-ranging knowledge make her unique. I have been able to do things I never thought possible because of Aurora’s help. To say she changed my life would be an understatement.
