Dr. Lori S. Weisenfeld, a renowned New York City sports podiatrist, has been treating athletes, dancers, and performers from around the world for over 25 years. She began her practice by joining her father, Dr. Murray F. Weisenfeld, author of The Runner’s Repair Manual, who was an icon amongst injured runners in NYC. With Dr. Murray as her mentor, she developed her own practice style while incorporating his insights, kindness and good humor into her care for each patient. She treats each patient with an understanding of their long term goals and with an eye on their immediate needs.
You may also know Dr. Weisenfeld from her appearances on numerous network news shows including WABC, the WB network and on VH1’s Can’t Get A Date. She has also been quoted in The New York Times and The New York Daily News and has been featured in national publications including Woman’s Day, Runner’s World, Self, Jane, Pointe Magazine, Quick & Simple, Dance, Women’s Health, Shape and OK!.
Dr. Weisenfeld is a Clinical Advisor to the American Running Association. She has the distinction of being double board certified by both the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is on staff at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Gramercy Surgery Center in NYC where she is Vice-Chair of the Medical Advisory Board.

The doctor was great! Friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. I had to reschedule and it seems like the schedule change on ZocDoc didn’t go through to their office, but ultimately it worked out. If you have a co-pay or owe anything out of pocket, the office doesn’t take credit card - only cash or personal check.

Dr. Weisenfeld and her staff are so friendly. She saw me immediately, was friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgaeable. Within 20 minutes she had given me an x-ray, diagnosed my issue and began helping me plan treatment and next steps. I would highly recommend her!

Although, she had previously operated on my husband, I was a new patient. She was incredible! Meet for the first time with Dr. Weisenfeld which was great. She was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable in her field. I've been seeing Dr. Weisenfeld for 20+ years. She is attentive, thorough, and listens to my concerns with the utmost respect and diligence. I have dangerously flat feet and she makes me the best orthotics so that I can walk in work flats and run in sneakers. I'm no athlete, but being able to get around without serious foot, ankle, and back pain is a game changer. Also, if you're using your orthotics or fixed feet to go to a rock concert, Dr. Weisenfeld wants to know. You'll probably run into her there anyway (if concerts ever happen again in real life!)
