Dr. Luis E. Chug is a quadruple board-certified Houston pulmonologist in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep Medicine, and Internal Medicine with more than 17 years of focused specialty experience. He is the founder of BreatheSleepMD and serves as Chairman of the Critical Care Committee at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, where he oversees ICU care and leads quality initiatives. He is also the Pulmonary Director for several nursing facilities across Houston, improving respiratory outcomes for elderly patients. Dr. Chug has been practicing medicine since 2000, bringing decades of experience to his patients.
Trained at Columbia University, the University of Kansas, and UTHealth Houston, Dr. Chug has built his practice on combining advanced pulmonary medicine with allergy-informed asthma care, including immunotherapy, allergy shots, and sublingual therapies. His expertise spans asthma, COPD, chronic cough, sleep apnea, and complex critical care, providing patients with a fully integrated approach to respiratory and sleep health.
