Dr. Teixeira received her Master’s degree from Long Island University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. She completed her internship at Cambridge Hospital/ Harvard Medical School with specialized training in Neuropsychological Assessment. She completed 3 additional years of post-graduation work in the same field; 1 year at Cambridge Hospital and 2 years at NRI in Woonsocket, RI. She worked at Cambridge Health Alliance for 15 years and coincidentally for over 20 years at her private practice in Pawtucket, RI providing psychotherapy and as a consultant for SSDI where she provided psychological evaluations and diagnosis assessment of children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Teixeira provides comprehensive evaluations of adults and adolescents experiencing problems with attention, memory, executive functioning, developmental disorders, and emotional and psychological issues. She also provides individual psychotherapy with adolescents and adults with a range of concerns. Education: Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist/ University of Rhode Island MA in General Psychology/ Long Island University BA Psychology Rhode Island College Certifications/ Specialities: RI Licensed Psychologist MA Licensed Psychologist Member, American Psychological Association Assessment and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, attention disorders, learning disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorder.

I was waiting for over half an hour and never showed up to the appointment. I

I did not have good experience during my appointment with this doctor. I know she needs to know about my life, and family background to understand my action and way of thinking and how the culture I born in had influence on me, but I have to say it was my first time to see someone so biased about international people and their culture... During my session I always felt that she tried to force her ideas about how uncivilized and old-fashion my birth country is into the conversation, and I had to correct her many times over and over fruitlessly and wasting my consulting time (which she really cared about not passing it even for a minute) on talking about unrelated matters... She might be a great doctor, but still not good enough to interact with people from different background.
