I never saw the doctor, only the PA. His bedside manner was fine but the assistant who saw me before he came into the room was pretty dismissive when I told her I was pregnant and she just said “Oh so you can’t get an xray. Sit and wait for the doctor.” Later, the PA recommended a wrist brace and when I asked if it was covered by my insurance, he said it should be and sent another person in to show me the brace. They were going to give me the brace and bill insurance later. When I asked again if they could request approval from insurance first, the staff said most insurances cover it and that it should be covered. It felt like the practice was just trying to bill for more procedures and dismissive upon learning that I was pregnant and couldn’t get the xray or surgery. I will not be returning as I did not feel the staff genuinely cared to treat my condition. Instead, it seemed like they are just trying to do more scans and push services like surgery to bill insurance.
