Manassas Internal Medicine has been serving the Northern Virginia community since 1998 and specializes in the prevention and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of diseases in adult patients. Our doctors are Washingtonian "Top Doctor" recognized and are currently accepting new patients. We are conveniently located just off of Sudley Road near Novant Prince William Hospital.

Dr.kim was my pcp for over 10 years prior to us moving. We reconnected when we moved back here. He’s still the same. Listens, he’s kind, he’s knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend Dr. young Kim to anyone.

Doctor is very frank and to the point. My sick visit lasted maybe 5 minutes but I believe my concerns were understood...though I always remember things I wanted to share after leaving the short appointment.
Anyway the brevity means little yo No wait times and the Doctor has availability for last minute / same day appointments.

I was already hesitant because they have so many bad reviews and terrible customer service reviews etc but I figured at the very least I could just get a month refill of the medications I’ve been on for years! This was a ZocDoc appt that was added in with short notice. I took an hour getting ready for it, filled out the extensive paperwork and got my prescription bottles ready etc. I saw him over video (thank god because his office staff have a really horrible record too) . He first said that if I’m trying to get this sort of prescription then I should go to someone else. I asked what he was saying but it was already obvious he was treating me as an addict pill popping doctor shopper. I said I wasn’t needing or expected that. Then he started talking about even my regular everyday SSRI and migraine preventers etc as if he realized that I was a pill person and so now nothing was okay to prescribe me! He even said “I don’t have any blood tests, any levels, “ etc etc and so I asked “then why would you be on ZocDoc accepting new patients on same day new patient appointments!?” He seemed like he didn’t know what to say but he already went to “I’ll just cancel the appointment so you don’t pay” (Medicaid pays him so that wasn’t what I was upset about). I said more than what I typically say to people that do these types of things, I was pretty upset/mad/annoyed/even embarrassed because of his “she must be a dr shopper” judgement! All I wanted was just a refill of my antidepressant and imitrex (migraine medicine-not controlled or anything) until I could get another psychiatrist since mine had left the business he was with (that I saw for 2 years but left me high and dry)! Anyways, I doubt anyone should go to him unless you want some advice on what water you should drink since he can’t seem to do the simplest things that doctors are for!

Everyone was friendly and professional. I was able to get an appointment right away...unlike other doctors I've been to where it takes weeks to get a general consult / annual physical. I'll definitely continue to go to this doctor.

The Doctor has changed the appointment time twice today and finally we have to wait 1 hour.
We asked that happening to Doctor.
He said that’s not his fault and he was angry and he said “ what do you want, you can go! I will cancel your appointment.”
I have never had this kind of attitude from anyone.
I think he should learn about Human’s attitude.
I have spent lots of time today because of this Doctor.

I went because my other doctor didn't have an immediate appointment available and I wanted my birth control shot. He was nicer and more attentive than a lot of doctors but pretty negative about hormonal birth control and the risks of it and didn't stock it. I need it to control other issues and it was only when I mentioned that when he seemed to relax a bit on it. But he still didn't stock it. I eventually went back to my other doctor for the shot. He seemed to give a lot of attention to detail and may be a great doctor in general outside of women specific issues but it was not an effective appointment for me.

What I was seen for he couldn't really help with but I do believe as a doctor there was more he could have done. I told the Dr I felt like I wanted to harm myself and his response was I'm not a psychiatrist. I felt like that was so unprofessional.

I've seen Young Kim now about 3 or 4 times (my insurance changed and I couldn't use my previous doctors office anymore)... and I like Doc Kim's so much better!! His staff is real friendly, and he actually listens and cares about his patients. I think he is fantastic!! I would highly recommend him anytime!!
