I made an appointment with Jaron Van Meter because I am looking for a new dentist. My ex dentist of 25 years passed away. She was a brilliant doctor and an excellent caregiver, attentive and concerned about each patient.
I told the receptionist why I was looking for a new Dentist when I made the appointment. She sounded caring" Im so sorry to hear that your dentist passed away". I thought Id be meeting with the dentist Id made the appointment with however he never showed. Evidently, he doesn't think its important to meet new patients on their first visit. WRONG. Just wrong. I won't be going back, or recommending this dentist.
The hygienist was ok, though he never flossed my teeth, and his polishing efforts were weak and cursory. The dentist who did examine me insisted on taking a full set of x rays, though I'd asked if we could hold off on that untill I met with Dr Van Meter with whom Id made the appointment.
I will only contact this office to forward my xrays.

VanMeter was very friendly at my first visit but when I expressed my concerns about a night guard fit on a second visit, he became very condescending and did not care to understand my issues. He only begrudgingly checked the fit after I asked again. I was not combative or rude so I was quiet disappointed in his behavior.

All of the staff members were extremely nice, helpful and professional. Almost no wait time (there is around 7 min of paperwork for new patients), and once taken back for the X-rays / consultation / cleaning it took more time than expected but they were consistently checking in with updates. Everyone was wearing masks / felt covid safe.

I was very impressed with the office staff, everyone on point, very friendly, professional and nice. Dr. VanMeter impressed me the most, he explained to me what I need and the reasoning why I need it. Very confident, very experienced and very gentle doctor. Dental assistant Sylvia was awesome, she assisted the doctor and it felt like they think the same, without any words she knew exactly what to do, and after she gave me proper post-treatment instructions. Had extraction, bone graft and implant done same visit, was nice to hear from office next day to see how I was doing. I went at work next day without any swelling and pain. I highly recommend this office and this doctor. Also very happy with the way my insurance and financials were handled, office manager Lilya came in presented treatment plan with numbers so I knew what my insurance will pay and what would be my responsibility. I was able to make financial arrangements she was very helpful and very nice. I will definitely recommend this office and this doctor, look forward going back for my follow up and future visits. Very welcoming and professional place.
