As part of my practice, I do not charge for consultations—in person, by phone, or by email—should they result in us deciding not to work together, so we may begin to explore treatment in a way that doesn't feel overly-committal. We might discuss what brings you to treatment and your history, the fee, any questions or concerns you have about psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, or me, of course. I am happy to refer (I have great colleagues) should we decide we're not the best fit, be it financially, scheduling, or otherwise. Generally, I work on a sliding scale based on income. I am credentialed to take all Cigna insurance in-network, and accept a limited amount of in-network patients, as well as all other major carriers as an out-of-network provider.

I began seeing Marcus Silverman last fall/winter during a very difficult time in my life. I was dealing with a lot of trauma resulting from personal experiences combined with bipolar disorder that he and my psychiatrist were almost miraculously able to get me through. Though I haven't seen him in a while, that's a credit to how effective my appointments and his general excellence as a psychotherapist were. If you need help, get help. You can't do much better than Mr. Silverman.
