Maryland Weight Care

Maryland Weight Care is an insurance-based medical weight management clinic that treats obesity and related conditions with compassionate, evidence-based care. We combine lifestyle guidance with medical therapy and prescribe FDA-approved weight loss medications, including GLP-1 options, when appropriate. Your insurance covers most of your care, including visits, nutrition and fitness guidance, lab work, and covered medications. There is a $28 charge for body composition measurement and analysis for in person visits. Body composition analysis is not covered by insurance but provides important data including your percent body fat, visceral fat (associated with metabolic/cardiovascular disease), and muscle mass. This data helps your medical provider better counsel you.
