I showed up to my appointment and was informed that the office canceled it and I was not notified. The office staff did not apologize for canceling my appointment or for not notifying me. After I had received a text confirmation of my appointment earlier that morning. The next available appointment is in two months.

My original appointment was mishandled by the office—they said I wasn’t scheduled despite my confirmation emails, then I received the appointment paperwork the next day.
At my rescheduled visit, the physician repeatedly confused my previous medication-induced pseudodementia with my recent seizure-related cognitive issues, even after I explained multiple times that they were separate conditions from different periods of my life. I was frequently interrupted, couldn’t finish answering questions, and my prepared medical summary, symptom list, diagnoses, labs, and two years of specialist testing were declined. Instead, I was told to repeat everything verbally and start over with new testing.
As a medically complex patient with multiple specialists, I was hoping for someone willing to listen, review my records, and understand my history. Instead, I left feeling unheard, misunderstood, and without confidence that my care would be coordinated appropriately.
