Felt like I was in a care mill. Conversation with the doctor was less than 60 seconds. Didn’t stop to gauge my understanding. Didn’t ask me if I had any questions. Felt like he had better things to do.

I was checked in promptly, and in a friendly and professional manner. X-rays were taken shortly thereafter. In a very short time following the x-rays, I was seen by the doctor, who conducted an examination, reviewed and explained the x-ray results. A follow up plan was developed. I had a very positive experience, and have confidence my problem is being addressed well.

If a hip or knee replacement is needed he's probably the best in this region.

Yes, I would go back. In fact, I did go back to see Dr. McKinstry after a seamless right hip replacement five years ago to have him take a look at my left hip. Although I now live in western North Carolina, I would most likely travel to have Dr. McKinstry do a replacement in Baltimore when I reach that point.

I had to wait for over an hour, but I received a call from the office before I left to go the appointment that he was going to be late due to surgery running over. That was greatly appreciated. I didn't mind the wait since i knew about it ahead of time.

It was my first visit and the problem that I had was much better by the time I got to the appointment. Dr. McKinstry was very informative about what was going on with my issue and I was satisfied with the visit. We discussed what I should do if the problem returns. I also got baseline xrays which I think is a good idea.
