Megan Goldberg Therapy

I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC, offering individual and couples therapy in person and virtually across DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Illinois. In-person sessions are available on Wednesdays in DC. If you would like a virtual session, you can schedule a session during any virtual appointment on my calendar regardless of designated location. My work tends to draw people who are navigating something specific: an ADHD diagnosis that finally explains a lifetime of struggle, a relationship with a narcissistic parent or partner that has shaped how they see themselves, a partnership that has lost its footing, or a complicated relationship with substances they're trying to understand rather than just stop. I also work with anxiety, life transitions, divorce and separation, and clients in ethically non-monogamous relationships. My approach is relational and psychodynamic at its core, meaning I'm interested in the patterns underneath the presenting problem, not just the surface symptoms. Depending on what you're working on, I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy, AEDP, IFS, the Gottman Method, and harm reduction principles. I have personal lived experience with ADHD, which informs how I work with clients who are still figuring out what that means for them. Please visit my website for more information and to see fees.
