**About Dr. Mekail Ahmed**
Dr. Mekail Ahmed is a board-certified Family Medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for adolescents and adults. He believes that every patient deserves to be heard, respected, and actively involved in their healthcare decisions. His goal is to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and confident in their treatment plan.
Dr. Ahmed provides a full spectrum of primary care services, including preventive care, annual physicals, urgent medical concerns, chronic disease management, men's and women's health, mental health, weight management, dermatologic conditions, and musculoskeletal injuries. He emphasizes evidence-based medicine while tailoring treatment plans to each patient's individual goals and lifestyle.
In addition to his primary care expertise, Dr. Ahmed is completing advanced fellowship training in Pain Medicine at NYU Langone Health. This specialized training allows him to bring a comprehensive understanding of spine disorders, joint pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, sports injuries, and non-opioid pain management strategies into his primary care practice. He works closely with patients to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life using multimodal, conservative, and interventional approaches when appropriate.
Dr. Ahmed completed his Family Medicine residency at BronxCare Health System in New York City, where he cared for a diverse patient population with complex medical needs. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to delivering compassionate, thorough, and accessible care while staying current with the latest medical advances.
