Melissa Hartley, MSW, LICSW

Clients often tell me they felt I saw their strengths and potential even when they were at their lowest emotionally. I am honored to be in a position that allows me to help people rediscover their resilience, especially when they are not yet able to see it themselves. I have deep appreciation and respect for the individuals I work with, and I never take for granted the trust placed in me. My goal is to be there for you, to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and help you uncover insights that empower you to move forward. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a steady presence to our work, and I tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals. I offer a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can pause, breathe, and begin to sort through the chaos. Together, we can sort through the issues that brought you here, whether it is anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, divorce, parenting, identity, sexuality, health issues, or work. I have a special place in my heart and practice for our community's helpers and caregivers. Parents, teachers, first responders, nurses, social workers, therapists, and medical providers often carry the weight of others' pain while quietly trying to manage their own. I understand the unique stressors and emotional toll that come with these roles, and I offer a space where you don’t have to be the strong one. You can simply be human. I tailor my approach in my work to each individual and family, informed by decades of work serving clients in our community in many therapeutic roles, including with those in crisis, struggling with work dynamics, parenting, infertility, adoption, marriage, divorce, aging, and living with illness. I do not use a formula to understand you, but meet you where you are, listening, and seeking a deeper understanding. I inform my therapeutic work with evidence-based practices. These practices and tools are psychoeducational, strength-based, client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and equity-based.
