Michael Braverman, LCSW-R
I provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Cognitive Behavior Therapy is an approach to psychotherapy that emphasizes how our thoughts shape our feelings and behavior.
CBT involves homework between sessions to make sure you use the skills being taught and see progress from one week to the next.
CBT is evidence-based, meaning that there have been many peer-reviewed studies demonstrating that CBT helps people get better.
CBT is structured - each session has a beginning middle and end and you set the agenda at the beginning of each session. This way, we make sure that we are focusing on your goals, and not wasting your time.
CBT is short-term – it teaches you to become your own therapist so that you may no longer feel the need for weekly sessions after just a few months.
CBT is collaborative – I'll routinely ask for your feedback about the session and the homework. This way, we can make sure that therapy is helping you achieve your goals.

Micheal Braverman will help you navigate through whatever issues you
are facing in your personal journey. He does so with an empathetic approach and radical acceptance. As my first time seeking aid from a therapist, he helped me not only understand the nature of some issues I've struggled with but more importantly, drives home how some of these issues can resurface in life. However, this time around you will be equipped with the tools and strategy to help to overcome them. Understanding is the first step.

Dr Braverman helped me with a lot of issues I was going through in a short amount of time. Over a 2-month period we were able to break down everything I was going through, find solutions to improve these situations and implement healthier behaviors into my life. He was not only extremely friendly and non-judgmental but he was also an incredible listener who gave great advice and suggestions. I was able to stop seeing Dr. Braverman after a short amount of time because he helped me quickly and efficiently. Very down to earth. Will definitely see see him again when something in my life comes up that I need professional non-bias advice on.
