Zocdoc Appointment & Pre-Authorization Policy
To better serve all patients and ensure appointment availability, our office has implemented the following policy for all appointments scheduled through Zocdoc:
Appointment Confirmation & Pre-Authorization
After scheduling your appointment through Zocdoc, a member of our office staff will contact you prior to your visit to obtain necessary information, including insurance details, medical history, and other required documentation.
At that time, we will also collect a $65 pre-authorization fee to secure your appointment. This fee is not an additional charge and will be applied toward your upcoming visit.
How the $65 Fee Is Applied
If your financial responsibility for the visit is $65 or more, the $65 will be applied toward your balance and you will pay any remaining amount at the time of your appointment.
If your responsibility is less than $65, the remaining balance will be refunded to you after your visit.
If your insurance covers the visit in full, the $65 will be fully refunded.
No-Show & Cancellation Policy
Because missed appointments impact patient care and scheduling availability, failure to complete the pre-authorization process may result in cancellation of the appointment.
Patients who do not respond to confirmation calls or fail to attend their scheduled appointment without proper notice may forfeit the $65 fee.
Why This Policy Is Necessary
Online scheduling has increased access to care; however, missed appointments create delays for other patients in need of medical attention and result in administrative costs to our office. This policy helps ensure appointment availability and efficient care for all patients.
