Michael Fenske Licensed Psychologist

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself, your relationships, or the direction your life is heading, you’re not alone. Many of the clients I work with are looking for a space to better understand what they’re going through and find a way forward that actually feels meaningful and sustainable. As a licensed psychologist, I provide services throughout California, New York, and Hawai'i and specialize in working with college students and young adults, while also supporting older teens and individuals in midlife. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Many come in feeling emotionally drained, unsure of themselves, or caught in patterns that are hard to break, especially in their relationships or day-to-day lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I focus on creating a space where you feel genuinely heard and understood, while also helping you gain clarity and direction. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Humanistic therapy. Our work together is both reflective and practical—helping you process experiences, understand patterns, and develop tools that support real change. I place a strong emphasis on clear and flexible goal-setting so we can track progress while staying responsive to what comes up in the moment. Whether we’re working through anxiety, relationship concerns, or deeper emotional experiences, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected—to yourself and to others. Additionally, if you're not ready to schedule a full intake and would like to connect for a brief free consultation please feel free to email me: drmichaelfenske@gmail.com or call: (661) 524-5772 for scheduling. My standard fee is $200 per session. I can provide monthly superbills for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance. I currently offer virtual therapy sessions on Saturdays from 8am–12pm Pacific Time, which corresponds to 5am–9am in Hawai‘i and 11am–3pm Eastern Time. I work with clients virtually throughout California, New York, and Hawai‘i, and this schedule is especially helpful for college students, young professionals, and those with busy weekday commitments. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with both compassion and clarity, I would be honored to support you in this process.
