Dr Lara is a great listener and put me at ease right away. He asked thoughtful questions and then formulated a treatment plan. Overall, it was as good of an experience as I could have hoped for!

Dr. Lara himself was knowledgeable and helpful in our initial consult. The administrative experience behind the scenes was not good. First, I had to fill out a ton of intake forms that were each sent individually with fast-expiring passcodes, and they were sent piecemeal over the course of 2 days. Second, I never received my zoom link. I had to contact the office the morning of concerned that I wouldn't get a zoom link in time, and they were going to say that I was a "no-show" and charge my credit card on file (which they took in the intake forms). Their response was that, "We use the same zoom link for all the appointments," but obviously as a new client I would not know this or have access to said zoom link. I hope the operations issues are over, and it's smooth sailing from here.
Dr. Lara was incredibly understanding and knowledgeable - he made space for me to describe my symptoms and walked me through possible treatment routes while clearly articulating the benefits of each option. I felt heard during my appointment which is really hard to come by in my experience for psychiatric treatment, and I feel confident about improving my well-being in his care. I didn't feel judged at all while describing my needs and concerns. His office was responsive and scheduling an appointment was easy. I highly recommend Dr. Lara!!

Between listening to my concerns and challenges and detailed pre-appointment questionnaires, I felt we were able to start a thoughtful treatment plan promptly. I feel great about the plan.
My first impression was that Dr. Lara is very friendly, thoughtful, and well-spoken. He was encouraging and delicately worded his questions to probe my experiences and perceptions. He was just easy to talk to in general, and I look forward to our future sessions.

I’ve so far had one appointment with Dr. Lara who was lovely to speak with. I felt cared for and listened to. I have not yet started but am optimistic about the treatment plan he created.
Dr Lara was fully prepared for my first session - I was very impressed by his preparation ahead of our session (he had reviewed the questionnaire I had completed and clearly remembered and referenced important points) and the manner in which he communicated. He was open and easy to work with - much much better than many other psychiatrists that I have had contact with.
It was a pleasure working with Dr. Lara and he provided his insight on my new medication in a way that helped me understand it and be on board. He is a very warm and understanding person and I highly recommend to anyone.
