Dr. Anila Khan DO, is a board certified primary care physician practicing for over 25 years. She currently practices conventional medicine alongside various integrative healthcare modalities such as osteopathic manipulative medicine, herbal and complimentary medicine in the State of Illinois. “I want to help my patients attain their optimal health goals through education, lifestyle, dietary modification, herbal or natural treatment and medications when required. The key is to get to the root of the problem and this can only happen through listening and performing in-depth analysis of their issues and complaints. Once the root cause is identified and treated, a whole host of problems disappear. I like to work in collaboration with my patients making them active participants in their healthcare. My adult informed patients always make the final decision when it comes to their healthcare. Irrespective of what we have been led to believe by the wealthy managed healthcare systems and 'big pharma', our body has an amazing innate ability to heal itself without loads of medications which only cause further health damage and dependencies.
I grew up with grandparents who practiced homeopathic medicine making the ‘good old fashion house calls’ while my parents, aunts and uncles were physicians and educators of conventional medicine. Unfortunately, the ‘Western Managed Healthcare Model’ did not allow me to incorporate alternative treatment modalities into my practice; therefore, after bidding them goodbye, I have ventured out to start my own practice. One, which is slower paced, simple and without drama.”
I’ve found it imperative to include aesthetics into my practice as we are not only enhancing your inner vitality, but external beauty as well. We wanted MIKARI to be different from other medspas in the sense that yes, we can work on your external appearance but let’s first figure out what’s going on in the inside of your body. Your external symptoms are a direct reflection of what is happening inside your body. My passion is to provide my patients with a total body experience where they are in the driver’s seat.

Beyond happy I found Dr. Khan!!!! Highly recommend her to anyone that’s been ignored by the large healthcare system. Her team made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. I’ve never felt so heard in my life as Dr. Khan spent over an hour listening to my concerns.
