Minds First Psychiatry is a modern outpatient psychiatric practice providing compassionate, individualized mental health care for adolescents and adults. We treat a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress-related symptoms, and other psychiatric conditions, with a thoughtful, evidence-based approach tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
At Minds First Psychiatry, care is collaborative, supportive, and centered on the whole person. We combine medication management with an integrative, strength-based approach, using visits not only to address symptoms, but also to reinforce resilience, improve coping skills, and help patients move toward lasting emotional wellness. Our goal is for every patient to feel heard, respected, and confident in a treatment plan designed specifically for them.

Had a 9pm appointment, was out to dinner, the doc got me in at like 9:20. Was very thourough in his diagnosis & would highly reccomend robert hyson!

Robert is wonderful, he is a true listener. He listened to everything that did and didn’t work in the past and we came up with a plan together!
I did not feel rushed in our appt and whatever questions I had he answered promptly and was well rounded in his answers.
Highly recommend him to anyone who wants a provider that cares

Just wanted to say how awesome Robert has been with helping me out with my mental health. He’s super easy to talk to and really gets what I’m going through. I always feel heard and supported after our sessions.
Honestly, I’m in a much better place now thanks to him. If any of my friends or family ever needed someone to talk to, I’d definitely tell them to go see Robert. He’s the best!
