Great to meet you! I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley, graduating Cum Laude. I then went on to complete my Medical Training at Sackler School of Medicine and my Residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. I am actively involved in academia and research. I have published multiple papers on suicide and mood disorders, in collaboration with Columbia University. I have also presented at the American Psychiatric Association, as well as at conferences internationally. I look forward to working with you to learn about your mental health goals and help you reach them.

If you want a psychiatrist who will commit fully to your mental health journey, Dr. Rabbany is the one. We knew this about her on first meeting. However, don’t expect her to “phone it in” or be a pushover — we needed someone that would be there and be real and transparent, and take on our complex and unique needs. She will give it to you straight and say and do what’s right and best for your situation — even if you may be reluctant to hear it at first. I feel we are finally making progress. So glad we found her!

At first I thought she would be a great provider. It was just unfortunate because when someone says “I’m sending the prescription now” while you’re having an anxiety attack but then doesn’t send it and says it will be sent later in the day when the clinics close. But then reassures you again she will send it early but still doesn’t send it and next thing you know you’re at the pharmacy waiting for something that was never sent. Just don’t appreciate being told a medication will be sent 2 times and not sent at all.

The appointment lasted from 10:30-10:38. Eight minutes and she prescribed me meds! She also took the call on a car, without earbuds, with another man driving the car. Lastly, when I picked my meds up from the pharmacy, she did not provide the correct name, had missing insurance and address, so it took me 30 minutes to correct.
I also wish she had told me more about my medication options. She told me “lexapro is my favorite but we can use whichever one you want” without informing me of the nuances of different options. I remain unclear whether lexapro is for me and am finding another doctor who is more professional and attentive.

I have seen 3 providers for my mental health so far and this is hands down my worst experience. I kept being interrupted by the provider and the attitude is rather rude and unprofessional. Honestly I felt hurt and my voice is not heard and that’s exactly the reason why I wanted to find help to start with. If you want to find a provider who really cares about the patients, look somewhere else

The first session was already a mess. She was loudly chewing over the phone during our session and I was too distracted to think clearly. Additionally, I started seeing reoccurring appointments that I’ve never made and cancellation fees charged for missing the appointments I’ve never asked for. Fortunately, she provided a refund for those but only after I pointed them out. I can’t trust this doctor anymore.

She is very goal oriented, and works with you in whatever your situation maybe. With that she is also very open and adaptable if something comes up and/or notices that there may be something else at work.
She is very easy to talk to, and very understanding. She explains anything clearly and simply. Her knowledge of medications and how they function is very helpful when or if you have questions about it. I never got an explanation about medications before her and this allowed for a better understanding of not only how they work but also how they may affect you.
Doc is always willing to take a question and is willing to look deeper if need be. I could not recommend sessions with her any higher than I am right now.
