MJ Physical Therapy is a therapist-owned boutique physical therapy clinic proudly serving North County San Diego for over 15 years. We are independently owned and operated, meaning we are beholden only to our patients. We put patient care over productivity based profit generation, spending an average of 30 minutes one on one with each patient at every session, TWICE the industry average. Our therapists are Board Certified Specialists in Orthopedic Physical Therapy with a combined 18 years of practice, specializing in hands on manual therapy and targeted therapeutic exercises for all conditions of the neck, back, and limbs. We use advanced soft tissue mobilization approaches including Cupping, Kinesio-taping, ART, and Percussion massage.

My son has seen Dr. Ben Kurtz and he's been happy with working with him for a sports-related injury/issue.
Having a teenager that will talk to another adult about what's happening when it comes to anything medical can already be a challenge. It was so important to find someone that was relatable and this doctor and the whole office is doing a great job working with my son!
Not only does my son do the exercises they recommend, but he looks forward to his PT sessions too. That is a HUGE win for parents, believe me! Our son doesn't listen to us parents when it comes to anything, so having someone that can work with a teen with RESULTS?! Amazing!

Love the studio and all the staff are terrific. I have not used a Physical Therapist before but I felt well looked after and all of the staff were smiling and engaging.

Dr. Kurtz was so kind and personable and made my first time at a physical therapist very enjoyable and informative. I was happy that he was able to get an idea of what's been going on with my knee and provided me with some exercises to do on my first visit and am looking forward to making more progress to a pain-free lifestyle!

I never had to wait around like another place I went to. I was constantly taken care of by the PT or assistant. The therapy given has improved to the point that I no longer have to wear a brace or use a cane. I have been to other therapists with little results. I highly recommend MJ physical therapy! Everyone there is very professional and friendly.

Dr. Ben is an amazing human and a wonderfully knowledgeable professional. His friendly demeanor makes the painfully necessary work a bit less uncomfortable. He has helped me figure things out the specialist could not. I currently have less pain and I attribute it all to working with Ben Kurtz.
