Monarch Counseling
Monarch Counseling focuses exclusively on perinatal mental health. That means we support clients who are trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, navigating infertility or loss, or adjusting to the identity and relationship shifts that come with becoming a parent.
This season can bring unexpected emotions. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, irritable, disconnected from your partner, or unlike yourself. You might love your baby and still feel grief for your old life. You may be struggling with intrusive thoughts that scare you, difficulty bonding, resentment in your relationship, exhaustion that feels heavier than “normal,” or pressure to feel grateful when you are actually barely coping. If you are navigating infertility or loss, you may feel isolated while everyone else seems to be moving forward.
Because perinatal mental health is our sole focus, our therapists are deeply trained in perinatal depression, anxiety, OCD, birth trauma, and relationship stress during this transition. Many of our clients come to us after feeling dismissed, told their symptoms are just hormones, or reassured that they should simply be happy. We take your concerns seriously. We understand the difference between intrusive thoughts and true risk. We provide skilled, evidence-based care in a space that feels calm, informed, and steady.

I really enjoyed her bedside manner and I liked that I could relate to her as a fellow mother. I have hope she is really going to help me progress and help me get to a better place. She was very human and kind as opposed to a stereotypical psych.
