I work with clients to replace negative, rigid or chaotic patterns with creative, positive and fulfilling alternatives. The collaborative process at the center of each focused, goal directed session is a powerful catalyst for transforming personal narratives. I guide clients to overcome obstacles or blind spots and shift in positive and proactive ways to improve their relationships and to experience well being. In my 3 decades of clinical experience, I have seen many clients embrace more purposeful, creative, and productive lives.

Let's be clear. I read reviews with healthy skepticism. You never know who is writing what and why
I was moved by the feedback I saw on Dr. Meehan after a long search seeking a new doc. And now that I've worked with her a couple of times and look forward to continuing to do so, I am happy to report that there are no exaggerations to be seen in these reviews. I too have positive feedback for her and hopefully someone who needs someone good to work with sees this. I say this because I know how frustrated I was calling doc after doc. Just names and numbers when you need help.
Dr. Meehan is a total professional. Very smart. She puts you at ease. She catches the little things. Her office is absolutely lovely.
She respects your thoughts and really helps you gain perspective without making you feel badly. I was really afraid to return to therapy because my experience has been so hit or miss in the past.
I feel very strongly about the quality of work in this arena because we're at our most vulnerable. How easy is it for anyone to take advantage?
Always do your research and come with an open mind. But if you're looking for some sort of signal that this doctor is the real deal, here it is.

Dr. Mills Meehan is the first doctor to sincerely "untie my biggest knots". She helped me view my past in a way that fueled confidence and trust to let go. This has led genuine excitement in my potential and in my future. She's fantastic.

I have been told by medical professionals that I am a "complex case" given my medical, genetics and environmental mix. I have been in counseling for 20 plus years with several different therapists. What I have come to realize is that finding the right match with a therapist is not easy.
I began seeing Dr. Montie Mills Meehan approximately 5 years ago and from the first couple of sessions I Knew she was indeed a great match for me.
If you are looking for someone who listens, is very insightful and interprets what you are saying, asks relevant questions to enable you to better express your feelings and then turns this information into positive and constructive strategies, I believe you will find Dr. Mills Meehan to be that person.
She relocated from my area but I felt so strongly that I had found the right person that we continue with virtual sessions. I am very fortunate to have connected with her.
