From yearly wellness physical exams to complex medical and surgical care, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center offers a full scope of services that meets the needs of women throughout the stages of life, from the teenage years, to pregnancy, menopause and beyond.
Our patients benefit from treatment by a highly experienced, multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, scientists, researchers and counselors committed to providing outstanding care while recognizing the psychological, emotional and social aspects of gynecologic problems and provide the requisite support in these areas.
We care for young women concerned with irregular cycles, the latest in contraceptive advances, and stress appropriate, preventive gynecologic care. We have a team of highly experienced and caring obstetricians for routine as well as high-risk obstetrical care.

Dr. Tang is great- professional and informative. I always look forward to meeting with her! Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with my check-in today and I waited longer than usual. She apologized numerous times, which I appreciated. Perhaps there is a way to make sure this does not happen to other patients. I look forward to the next visit, Dr. Tang.

I think the staff is disinterested. My blood pressure and weight were not taken . I could not make an appointment because receptionist left before 4:30 pm.

Awful bedside manners. Zero empathy.
I was a first time patient and she did not even try to understand my concerns or try to create a patient doctor relationship and had a diagnosis in 5 minutes. Total time of visit was less than 15 minutes. Left crying from the visit. Do not recommend.

From the onset, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and was quickly seen by Dr. Dabney. I did all my paperwork beforehand online as was recommended. Dr. Dabney is kind, whip smart, and professional. We talked about a game plan and now I feel positive about my results because I know Dr. Dabney and her team are always available for any future concerns or issues. I highly recommend.

My experience with Dr. Dabney herself was good, but after being kept waiting for over an hour in a busy waiting room during covid, I was too flustered to really feel comfortable to ask all my questions clearly. I left feeling like although the doctor didn't rush me, I needed to rush and maybe didn't get entirely heard. I don't know why they were so behind, but I would have appreciated a heads up—I would have waited outside the building or at the least, not left work early tp get there early.

I think Dr Dabney is very attentive and knowledgeable; however, the receptionist is dismissive and not helpful. Any question or request I made was received with a childish, defensive attitude. I felt this behavior marred an otherwise great experience.

I’m always immensely satisfied with Dr. Dabney’s manner and treatment recommendations . She’s extremely present during the visit and has an effective communication style.
