Murad Counseling
Murad Counseling PLLC provides evidence-based telehealth therapy for adults struggling with OCD, anxiety, trauma, and body-focused repetitive behaviors such as skin picking and hair pulling. This includes specialized treatment for taboo, unwanted, and distressing OCD themes that often carry shame, fear, or silence. Felix Murad has worked with many of these presentations and is comfortable discussing them openly, professionally, and without judgment. The practice is built around a simple idea: therapy should be thoughtful, practical, and clinically sound, not vague, passive, or needlessly drawn out.
Treatment is grounded in evidence-based methods such as ERP, CBT, ACT, EMDR, and Habit Reversal Training, depending on the client’s needs. The approach is active, collaborative, and practical. That means identifying the patterns that are reinforcing fear, avoidance, compulsions, shame, or emotional exhaustion, then building a treatment plan that actually addresses them.
Many clients are bright, capable, high-functioning adults who are tired of white-knuckling their way through life. They may be managing intrusive thoughts, panic, chronic worry, trauma reactions, perfectionism, or behaviors like skin picking and hair pulling while still trying to keep up with work, relationships, and daily responsibilities. Therapy here is not about pretending discomfort should disappear overnight. It is about learning how to respond more effectively so life gets bigger and symptoms stop running the show.
Murad Counseling is a private-pay Telehealth practice serving adults in Texas, Washington, New Hampshire, and Florida, with a strong emphasis on ethical care, clinical depth, and meaningful progress.
