I was very disappointed. I thought someone with his experience treating patients who experienced trauma would be helpful given his medical experiences. He was very unhelpful and could not even steer me to another healthcare provider who may be able to help me. His office staff were rude and dismissive, and did not respect my privacy re: healthcare info. I do not recommend.

I was concerned about going to an orthopedic surgeon when I didn't necessarily want surgery! But Dr. Golden very patiently went over my x-rays with me and discussed why he felt that my choice to continue to pursue natural healing in a brace (for a fractured humerus) made sense for me. He gave me an actual exam, rather than just a cursory look, and actually really looked at the x-ray photos on my phone that I have been taking over the course of my treatment, which many doctors can't be bothered with. I highly recommend him!

Although he is a Trauma Doctor and usually have certain pre-requisites prior to the appointment, (which we did not know), he still saw her and was very patient and kind. While my mother did fall, her issues were more age related than due to trauma, yet Dr. Golden provided the best care.

I had a 9:00appt. I was the by 8:45. I was called back to exam room at 9:15. Had to get x- ray. No other patients waiting, still had to wait almost 15 min. Taken to exam room waited 20 mins. Dr. was very informative.

Dr. Golden has been treating me for 4 1/2 years now. I was involved in an accident which has required numerous surgeries. I would highly recommend Dr. Golden and Washington Hospital Center. He and the hospital are very caring and are very concerned for your well being.

The receptionist were unprofessional. I called the day before to confirm my appointment and was told that I was not on the schedule. This was the second time that this has happened. I then had then make another appt for 3pm on May 19, 2015. I called On the morning of the second scheduled appt to confirm that I was booked for 3pm with Dr. Golden, it took about 5 min on hold before I was told once again that I was not on the schedule. After spelling my name five times for the lady on the phone she still said that I was not on the schedule. I then said are you sure that I'm not on Dr. Golden's schedule for today, she then replied that she thought I had said another doctor's name that I didn't even know. After clearing up the fact that I only knew one doctor there , she then told me that I was scheduled for 3pm. I arrived at 2:58 pm for my 3pm appointment. After waiting for just over a hour and noticing people that came in after me were being seen before me, I walked up to the receptionist desk to ask how much longer and noticed that my file was still sitting on their desk. About 5 minutes later I was called to take X-rays. I then waited another 45 min for what only took 10 minutes of actually seeing the doctor.

My visit was very professional with the exception of the wait time before seeing the Dr. The coordination between the Emergency Room and the Dr. office could be better. I had x-rays taken while in the Emergency Room and was also scheduled for x-rays in the Dr. office until I questioned the reason for additional x-rays.

This appointment is only the beginning, an evaluation of a long time shoulder injury. The doctor saw me with his team and listened to the fairly long story of my shoulder pain. He switched to French as he could tell it’s my native language. The doctor consulted my mri results and showed the tear. He checked my shoulder with care, making sure I was not in pain during the process. I am hoping the next steps will be as « easy ».

This is a very busy practice, with LOTS of patients, so if you don’t have patience waiting for your appointment, I suggest you find another practice. I imagine much care is taken with each patient according to their injury, so this is not a “run of the mill” in and out in 15 minutes kind of place.The staff was highly professional and courteous.

I have seen Dr. D for an elbow surgery and a shoulder issue. I would recommend him as a highly skilled surgeon and also as one of the best bedside mannered doctors I’ve met. I am a nurse so I have met my fair share of mediocre doctors. Dr. D listens and answers questions thoroughly. I never feel rushed and he seems to really care about his patients. I have actually moved away from DC and I will still go back to him if I need his services, he is that GOOD.

The women behind the reception desk were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Dr. Douoguih is the best orthopedic surgeon I’ve seen, and I’ve been seeing orthopedic surgeons since the 1990s. Excellent judgment, asks good questions, is conservative about recommending surgery. He recommended physical therapy first for my small rotator cuff tear - to strengthen the muscles that support the shoulder and stabilize it, rather than surgery. He’s a good listener and a great practitioner. I recommend him without reservation.
