My appointment with PA Ally was phenomenal, I came to her with severe acne and she changed my life! She listened to all my concerns and gave me a routine that matches my lifestyle and cleared my skin. She went above and beyond with her bedside manner, very well spoken and knowledgeable regarding all treatment options. I can't wait to come back for my next chemical peel!

The doctor said she would give me a lidocaine shot and that it would feel like a pinch. She repeated multiple times that it would only feel like a pinch. However, the shot was excruciating and the pain lasted 20-30 seconds. My friend later told me that intense pain is always expected of lidocaine shots. The doctor also said that once the lidocaine wore off, I would still feel zero pain at the site of the wound. I asked multiple times when the pain would kick in and how bad it would be, and she insisted I would feel nothing whatsoever at any point — when I said I was surprised by this, she acted like it was weird for me to be surprised. In reality, once the lidocaine wore off, the wound was sore for days. Because she hadn’t assured me otherwise, I hadn’t been prepared for the proper pain management.

The provider did not explain what she was doing as she was carrying out procedures on me. Everything felt a bit rushed, including the opportunity for me to read and sign consent forms. The visit notes I read afterwards did not completely match what I had said during the visit (details were added on the visit notes that did not actually happen). I'm not sure how effective the treatment was- still waiting to heal. I have had the same treatment done a few times with noticeably better results, so hoping for the best.
