I haven’t had a doctor care like she does in my entire life, and I started medicine when I was 12 years old - I’m 32 now. She was tremendously kind, left her office and came out to kindly greet my husband, my daughter (7months) and I (I brought him for emotional support). She was so welcoming and pleasant. She shook his hand, completely understood why we brought our baby. Said that as long as I, the patient, didn’t mind then she didn’t mind. She just wants to help me and she’s there for me. She was very down-to-earth, compassionate, funny, understanding, and realistic. I trust her fully and I’m so glad to have FINALLY found a doctor who can listen (not only bc they actually have the time but bc they genuinely seem to
care) and help me. Having a baby has made me desperate for mental health support and I feel I finally have someone for that. I know not every doctor can get tremendous amounts of time, but she had it available, and she gave it so graciously. I highly recommend her.

It has only been a few sessions, but Megan has listened more than anyone I know's Psychiatrist - everyone I told about her was surprised on how she approached our initial consultation/session, so apparently this is not common. She not only listened and heeded my concerns - but very tactfully provided insight in a way that was unexpected. She wanted to get to know me more before prescribing immediately, which is what I wanted. She is multi-disciplined, and not only a psychiatrist, but does couple's counseling, therapy, and other areas which I think the combination is what makes this surprisingly rare. It is still early on, but from the first few seconds she hopped on the call I felt a sincerity and safety that came from her, and she even stayed longer than the alotted time to finish doing a very vulnerable and important assessment for me, that she offered herself. Lastly, as gentle as she can be, she has a certainty when she responds, which I have been searching for quite some time.

I’m very grateful I found Jose Chavez. I would describe him as a gentle giant — such a caring, kind, and genuinely nice person.
I speak Spanish, and Jose does too, which made it so much easier for me to express myself and feel understood. I was going through the tragic and sudden loss of my wife, and I honestly felt like I had no hope.

I’ve struggled with treatment-resistant depression for most of my adult life and had almost given up hope of finding something that would truly help.
