The three criteria I look for in choosing a psychiatrist are responsiveness, feeling heard and authenticity. Dr. Galbick proved to me that he was responsive by getting back to me in a timely manner (faster than other psychiatrists I’ve seen). He also demonstrated active listening by summarizing what I was telling him (I’ve been told that I can be quite difficult to follow along with). I also appreciated that he was not dismissive or skeptical of my symptoms with his tone. It was thoughtful and clear that he was taking me seriously. He also provided me with REAL, authentic answers - not the kind that I see in ChatGPT or books. He gave me insightful, professional recommendations and options, compared with what I’ve experienced in the past. I look forward to seeing Dr. Galbick in the future!
