New Hope Counseling Center
Counseling is the process of recognizing our pain and hurt (past and present), understanding the effects of that pain and hurt (as it relates to relationships, work, school, etc.), and making the necessary changes to stop the pain and hurt, and also promoting mental and emotional wellness. Psychologist Carl Jung once said, “I am not what happened to me, I am what I chose to become.” With that in mind, the hope and plan is to move towards one’s ideal, true self; moving from feeling stuck to feeling empowered.

David was one of the most helpful and supportive therapists I’ve worked with. I was nervous at first since he was my first male therapist, but he made it easy to open up and made me feel comfortable from the start. He truly listens and isn’t afraid to challenge you when you need it which I really appreciated.
He met me where I was without judgment and helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect. My experience with him was incredibly positive and meaningful. I only stopped sessions because I relocated out of state.

David Bolaños is an incredible therapist! I only ended my time with him because I moved.
I was with him for over a year, and he taught me how to have better empathy and connect more with others. He also pinpointed my exact issue with anxiety, and he walked me through very tangible steps to get me into a much healthier headspace.
David’s overall demeanor is one of approachability. He calmly listened to me, and he respectfully challenged some notions of mine when he thought it was appropriate.
He is not demeaning, he is not rude, he is not rushed. For anybody who chooses David, you will find that he is a helpful guide through many of life’s anxieties.
It was truly a blessing to have him as my therapist, as he helped me walk through some of my hardest times. I am happy for whoever will have him as their therapist in the future!
