I decided not to move forward with this clinic due to misleading billing practices. Over the phone, they told me they accepted my insurance, and ZocDoc listed them as in-network. But I later learned they bill as an out-of-network provider. They collect the copay and create a bill for the remaining balance (coinsurance), but told me patients aren’t actually expected to pay it—they just don’t enforce it or send bills to collections. Still, they require you to sign a form saying you’re financially responsible.
When I questioned this and tried to cancel, they were pushy and kept insisting the cost would be the same as in-network, which wasn’t true for my plan. The whole setup felt misleading and dishonest, so I chose not to continue.

I got lost finding the office, I was able to reach someone by phone who was able to help (they have multiple locations) and when I arrived, no one was at the desk. I called again and the person on the phone asked me to wait 5 minutes in case they were in the bathroom or something. The bathroom was visibly empty. After a few minutes, someone greeted me and apologized for the inconvenience. Someone was supposed to call and tell me the doctor (the one I was assigned to, not even the one I booked specifically) called out sick that day and asked me to come back on Monday. I’ve never seen an office so empty, especially with no one at the front desk! Very odd and unsettling experience.
