I wanted to see an ENT but turned out , the doctor was for internal medicine. She didn’t even diagnose, once I explained the symptoms she told me to visit another clinic. Wrote me a medicine for which I had to pay. Not useful visit at all, the clinic was empty I have wonder why the appt are booked out for weeks. No a good experience overall

This doctor was probably one of the best PCP I have seen. She actually gave a medical exam like it’s supposed to be. She was thorough, professional, and very pleasant. I was very satisfied and would recommend her highly

The staff doesn’t seem like they want to be there, don’t acknowledge you and made it feel like a burden to them by showing up and checking in. As far as friendliness goes the doctor is much better, but overall I just didn’t feel like she really took me seriously and left feeling pretty down. So wouldn’t go back.

Dr. Ali was wonderful — my only issue was that both she and the phlebotomist were very unhelpful regarding what my insurance would cover in regards to the blood test. She even tried to say that some of the tests might be not covered but that it was okay, because they were “cheap.” The phlebotomist was also very aggravated when I ended up denying the blood test even though she also couldn’t guarantee my insurance would cover it. I recommend Dr. Ali as a doctor, but I don’t recommend getting any testing done by her. ?

Overall, I would not suggest RWJBarnabas Health. It's more pricy than other physician groups, even with insurance, their staff is rude and doesnt want to do any work to figure out why my coverage is being denied and tried to gaslight me telling me that it was actually accepting my insurance, and that the amount they wanted me to pay was my deductible (false as my visit should have been 100% covered per Obamacare laws), and then when I asked the doctor to justify the labs she was ordering, she couldn't do it. Dr Ali needs more education into how insurance works, specifically HDHPs, where the patient bears full responsibility for the bill.

Dr. Ali is an excellent provider. She listens intently to my concerns and talks through options and treatment plans with me in detail until I feel confident I understand.
The whole team at the Jersey City RWJ Barnabas office works together efficiently to get patients seen at their appointment time without making you feel rushed.

She is incredibly knowledgeable, non-judgmental, and has a wonderful bedside manner—she listened carefully, validated my concerns, and actively involved me in shared decision-making. Dr. Ali and her staff are excellent. Dr. Ali was very personable, asked a lot of questions, and was able to suggest immediate strategies to try to tackle the health concerns I shared with her.
