I was sooo grateful to have found Dr. Malik! She was wonderful. I went in due to a broken tooth on a Sunday. I literally made the appointment this morning and was able to get in on the same day! She got me in and out quickly and efficiently, and charged what I feel is a very fair price. If getting a tooth drilled can ever be called a great experience, this was :)

The office staff was very nice and saw me immediately. The Dr. explained my problems to me very well. However, I could tell that the operation was disorganized during my visit. My prescription was called into the pharmacy incorrectly, missing information which was a hassle for me.

The doc is very rude after I rejected to order the night guard she advised. My crown fell off, but I was injected with the anesthetic without any warning. She didn’t gave me any feedback of the x-ray the took. And she left me with the bleeding teeth saying it’s okay to let it bleed. The nurse and the front desk are nice. But when there’s lucrative procedure to be taken when visit this dentist, the dentist is very inpatient. Not recommended this dentist.

She was fantastic and so was her dental assistant! My teeth feel and look nice and clean. I hadn't been to the dentist in years and she gave me a nice teeth exfoliation and they are stain free like the teeth of a baby! Will be returning

I really enjoy Dr. Malik and her whole team. She is an absolute delight and I really look up to her and the work she does. She’s very understanding of my anxiety with dentists and very accommodating. She also is very careful, consistent and precise. As long as I’m in philly, I will go back to see Dr. Malik!

I went in to get a wisdom tooth removed. It was my first time going there but I've had a wisdom tooth pulled before so even though I have a general aversion to dentists I wasn't too nervous. The assistants were very nice and patient. I have a very active gag reflex and it took numbing me and 2 of them to do my xray but they didnt make me feel like I was a pain to work with. I thought it was done but when Dr. Malik came out they said they needed to do another clearer xray. But this time Dr. Malik was taking it. She shoved the xray tool in my mouth because I was "numb" and when I gagged kept pushing saying just bite down just bite down. That was unpleasant in itself but i figured whatever. After another few attempts we finally got it and started the process to get it out. She numbed me, told me I should feel nothing but pressure. So she starts trying to get the tooth out and while the tooth itself didn't hurt, she was so rough she had to have an assistant come over to "stabilize the jaw" while she put her whole back into trying to take out my tooth. Dont get me wrong, I've been through it before so I know there is some force required to remove a tooth but it truly felt like she was going to break my jaw. Not only that, she switched sides at one point to try from the other side and she was pushing my (non numbed) lip into my teeth. When I made noises in pain and started to try to tell her it hurt she spoke over me and kept repeating "You're gonna feel pressure, you're gonna feel pressure!" and kept going. She eventually switched and pulled out the pliers and got it out after another minute or 2. After it was over, I was shaken. She didn't say much after that besides I should make an appointment for a follow up and then left. I walked out of that appointment and legitimately cried. It was traumatizing. I already didn't enjoy going to the dentist and this experience just made it so much worse. I can't speak for her other work for cleanings, fillings, or what have you, but if you need an extraction I would pass. I know this was long but I had a lot to say

I mean, I would hope they are LGBTQ friendly. It’s not like I went in there and was like “omg I’m gay, is that cool?” But they definitely didn’t seem to discriminate. They were all very friendly, the lady that took my X-rays was delightful. Dr. Malik was great, I mean going to the dentist sucks but she tried her best to accommodate my anxiety and pain. The girl who flossed and polished was also great and friendly. In my experience, dentists have always dug their tools in my gums etc... but the girl who flossed was very easy on the flossing and polishing. Idk if that’s a bad or a good thing, but I definitely noticed it.
Overall they were great and I’m going back in 2 weeks and then for my routine. They seem like great people to have for a regular dentist.

i’m not sure they did a very good job with teeth cleaning. it felt like there were still rough areas (i assume plaque/tartar) left after the cleaning and polishing. my teeth are usually very smooth after cleaning (from my previous experience. so i’m not sure why this one is different.

She reviewed my Xrays and alerted me to an issue that a previous dentist overlooked. I was nervous, of course, but honesty is the most important thing (especially in the medical field) and now I can take the necessary steps to addressing it.

I came in for a routine cleaning but I wasn’t able to get my teeth polished which I was not aware of before the appointment. My insurance only covers a cleaning every 6 months so I’ll have to wait another 6 months for a proper cleaning, unfortunately.

I booked an appointment for a teeth cleaning but was ultimately refused service because I would not submit to a dental x-ray. I informed the doctor that I did not wish to subject my skull to unnecessary radiation and asked her what medical reason justified needing an x-ray to get plaque scraped off my teeth, to which she only responded that it was "practice policy". She failed to come up with a medical justification for said policy each time I asked. Dentists get to bill patients/insurance companies much more for an x-ray than they do a teeth cleaning, so this "policy" seems geared towards increasing collections.

I didn’t think she had good bed side manner. Her technician took more time explaining to me what he was doing then she did. I tried to engage her on multiple occasions regarding my teeth and questions regarding procedures she recommended; however, these were met with sparing answers. When she was done cleaning my teeth, she did not say she was leaving nor did she discuss with me the procedure she recommended. She just left and moved on to another client.
Unfortunately I would not recommend her.
