Nick Holt, LCSW

Most people who find their way to my practice aren't falling apart. They're functioning — often exceptionally well. Career intact, responsibilities met, people taken care of. And yet something isn't working anymore. I'm Nick Holt, a licensed clinical social worker and certified CBT therapist in West Los Angeles. I work with men, caregivers, and high-functioning professionals who are ready to stop managing alone. What I do: I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy — a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. My goal is always the same: to help you understand yourself well enough that eventually you don't need me anymore. Credentials: I hold a Diplomate from the Academy of Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies (A-CBT). I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California with a focus on clinical training and military mental health. My 10+ years of clinical experience spans veterans, executives, athletes, caregivers, and individuals navigating depression, anxiety, suicide, and major life transitions. Prior to private practice I worked at Didi Hirsch's Suicide Prevention Center and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. I have also written about mental health for Vox, Huffington Post, and Wellness Universe. I have been a guest on the Mental Illness Happy Hour and OKStorytime podcast and YouTube Live Stream. Who I work with: - Men who are functioning well by every external measure and feel empty anyway - Caregivers who have lost track of their own needs - High-functioning professionals carrying weight privately that nobody around them fully sees - People who are tired of being strong all the time Based in the Sawtelle neighborhood of West Los Angeles, CA 90025.
