Noe Avila Therapy
At times I know life can be daunting and overwhelming with life stressors, the complexity that comes with navigating relationships, or perhaps the feeling that something is holding you back from reaching your full potential; yet part of you wants to feel better and move forward.
Therapy offers a safe space for you to understand and overcome the challenges of the past or the present.
I have been working with individuals, couples, families, and groups as an Applied Behavioral Therapist Autism and also as a Marriage and Family Therapist having worked at YMCA, SDUSD and more recently, my own private practice.
I have specific experience working with individuals, couples, and families who struggle with LGBT issues as well as trauma. In my practice, I am affirming of people of all backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Everyone is unique; in my work, I strive to identify the specific factors that foster growth for each of us as individuals.
In our work together, we will employ numerous therapy approaches including Family Systems, Gottman, Attachment Theory and Mindfulness to best meet your needs. My aim is always to employ both a holistic and integrative approach. Why? I believe there is no one-size-fits-all formula to address your unique history, personality and concerns.

I have been visiting Noe Avila for multiple sessions. I love the fact that he takes Aetna and has both virtual and in person sessions.
Additionally, my sessions have been great. We connect on a lot of levels to include the immigrant experience, family dynamics etc.
I also love his approach to counseling which allows you to take a journey through your family history to find the root cause of your stress, trauma etc.
I highly recommend him.

Great personality, very nice guy. Active and genuine listener. Great at diving-deep into the session. He makes you feel comfortable with sharing uncomfortable experiences or situations. My first session went amazing and i will definitely be back!
