Dr. Kara Lichtman is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist providing telehealth care throughout New York State. Her practice offers thoughtful, unhurried sessions that emphasize collaboration, personal focus, and individualized care. Dr. Lichtman combines advanced training in psychotherapy with expertise in psychopharmacology, integrating medical knowledge with a deep understanding of the psychological and emotional dimensions of treatment. Patients appreciate her attentive, compassionate approach and the additional time devoted to understanding their needs and tailoring care that is comfortable and integrative. Dr. Lichtman does not accept insurance. Superbills are provided for out of network or HSA reimbursement. The fee is $475 for an initial consultation and $400 for follow-up sessions.

Dr. Lichtman is pleasant, to the point and really makes you feel heard.
Dr Lichtman is genuine, compassionate, and interested. She's not about just giving you pills. She explores the whole of your life and offers holistic suggestions for ways to be a better you. Highly recommend.
My appointment was scheduled for 4pm and began promptly at 4:00PM on the dot. Dr. Lichtman is clearly very knowledgeable, very pleasant, easy going, hands on. Asked many questions and showed genuine interest. Gave her cell number to keep her informed or for any questions that may arise. A refreshing experience!
