Northwell Health General Surgery - Central
Our center provides extensive and advanced outpatient wound management and treatment, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, right on site. Our interdisciplinary team includes vascular, general and podiatric surgeons, as well as certified wound care and ostomy nurses.
We specialize in caring for wounds caused by diabetes and vascular disease (arterial, venous, lymphatic, vasculitis), as well as radiation injury, trauma, burns and pressure injuries. We also heal chronic wounds and preserve limbs by preventing major amputations, and prevent wound recurrence. Our experienced nursing team focuses on prevention, coordination of care, monitoring the progress of wounds and patient education. We also offer clinical trials for those interested in other novel and emerging therapies.

Zoc doc is a great tool to schedule appointments. The only downside side was that the doctor’s office did not see the appointment I made through zoc doc right away. I called the office to confirm a few hours after I made the appt and it wasn’t in their system yet. Zoc doc also had the doctor available all day, it did not show the appts he already had booked.

His behavior was fine I’m sure he’s seen the type of problem I’ve had before however it was my first time dealing with it and it is very uncomfortable and painful. Also felt lack of empathy as the doctor performed a rectal exam while i already had pain and discomfort and did not use lubricant of any kind which caused further pain and discomfort. Also kind of tried to chalk it up to it just having to go away on its own and tried to rush out not much information was given or treatment options had to literally stop him to ask for clarification and remedy options that’s when he prescribed me a cream which literally helps like 2/10.

Everything was good. The only problem is the office's location. Even brief double parking in that area is practically impossible. And "driving around the block" is a nightmare. Much better to make a right on Junction Blvd, before getting to the actual building his office is in.

Doctor Jose Paul performed an Inguinal Hernia Surgery with laparoscopic procedures. The recovery was less than a week and I feel absolutely fine. He is an amazing surgeon, as a general surgeon I recommend him to everyone.
