not great with his words especially when i'm already in a dark place. definitely doesn't feel like a safe place to talk unless you like being criticized. first time feeling more depressed after a session

First time sitting with a psychiatrist and he has been so helpful, not just trying to write me a prescription but really understand my issues and how to best help resolve them for the long term. Early days but I got a lot from our first conversation.
He also strikes a good balance between informal chat to serious discussion and inquiry which helped keep me at ease through a very turbulent time

Amazing doctor who spent a whole hour listening and asking questions to really get to know me and my situation. Prior to my appointment I had been seeing another Psychiatrist for 3+ months and all those appts only lasted 5-10 minutes. I do feel Christine actually cares about me and is truly working with me and considering all the quirks of my body with the side effects I’ve had in the past few months.

I wish I had found Oak Health Center in 2014 as I now realize how important postpartum care is. In my third battle against my brain’s wiring Dr. Ricketts was the first psychiatrist I’ve met with. I had a truly wonderful experience. Her questions were geared toward me and my struggles. She was efficient and understanding and scheduled to meet with me in a timely matter. I’m so appreciative and look forward to continuing my care with her.

She is willing to reason and use logic. Her thinking isn’t confined to the box. She is kind and not excessively pushy. Many psychiatrists can’t use logic past the psychological normative and antagonistically push pharmaceuticals. So far she is different.
