Before booking your appointment, please take a few minutes to read the information below. We want to make sure you understand our services, communication process, and appointment policies before reserving a time.
Secure Communication Through Spruce:
We use Spruce for secure, HIPAA-compliant communication with our patients.
After scheduling your appointment, please accept the Spruce invitation you receive by text message.
Once you have accepted the invitation, please use Spruce for:
• Appointment questions
• Scheduling changes
• Medication refill requests
• Forms and paperwork
• General non-urgent questions
Using Spruce helps us keep communication secure and organized in one place.
Important Information Before Booking:
Please make sure you are scheduling an appointment because you are interested in the services we provide and that the appointment time is one you can attend.
If you are using insurance, please confirm that your insurance plan includes mental health/behavioral health coverage. Providing an insurance card does not guarantee coverage or payment.
Please also provide accurate information when completing your intake paperwork, including your current address, the state where you are physically located at the time of your appointment, insurance information, and identification when requested.
If you are unsure whether our practice or a particular service is appropriate for you, please contact our office before booking. We are happy to answer questions.
Intake Requirements:
All required intake forms must be completed within 24 hours of scheduling your appointment.
Please check your email, text messages, and Spruce after booking so you do not miss any requests from our office.
Incomplete paperwork may result in your appointment being delayed or rescheduled.
If you have difficulty completing your forms, please contact our office for assistance.
Please Verify Your Insurance:
If you are using insurance, please make sure your plan provides mental/behavioral health coverage and that you are eligible to receive the requested service.
If you find out after booking that your insurance does not cover mental health services or that you do not wish to proceed, please cancel your appointment promptly.
We encourage patients to contact their insurance company directly if they have questions about their benefits.
Scheduling and Availability:
Please select an appointment time that you are reasonably certain you can attend.
Saturday appointments are available only on the second Saturday of each month.
When you book an appointment, that time is reserved specifically for you. Because appointment times are limited, we ask that you avoid booking an appointment unless you are prepared to attend.
If You Change Your Mind After Booking:
We understand that circumstances can change. If you book an appointment and later decide that you no longer need the appointment, our practice is not the right fit, or you simply change your mind, please cancel the appointment as soon as possible and preferably within 24 hours of booking.
Please do not keep an appointment that you no longer plan to attend, stop responding to our office, or wait until the day of the appointment to let us know.
If you change your mind, please cancel within 24 hours of booking and not after the 24-hour cancellation period has passed.
Prompt cancellation allows us to offer that appointment to another patient who may need care.
No-Show and Late Cancellation Policy:
Oasis Health Services has a strict no-show and late-cancellation policy. This policy is included in the informed consent and practice policies that you will be asked to review and sign.
24-Hour Notice: Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Missed Appointments: If you do not attend your scheduled appointment, the no-show policy applies and a fee may be charged in accordance with our practice policy.
Rescheduling: Rescheduling an appointment with less than 24 hours' notice does not automatically waive the applicable late-cancellation or no-show fee.
10-Minute Grace Period: For telehealth appointments, patients who have not joined the appointment within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time may be considered a no-show.
Please understand that not responding to phone calls, texts, emails, or Spruce messages does not cancel your appointment and does not automatically waive the cancellation/no-show policy.
We strongly encourage you to only schedule an appointment when you are reasonably certain that you will be able to attend.
Communication After Booking:
After your appointment is scheduled, our office may contact you if we need additional information or if there is an issue with your paperwork, insurance, eligibility, or appointment.
Please respond promptly when our office contacts you and requests a response.
We understand that you may not always be able to answer a phone call immediately. If we are unable to reach you by phone, please check your email, text messages, and Spruce messages for information from our office.
If you no longer want the appointment, please cancel it through Zocdoc or contact our office directly.
Controlled Substance Policy:
Controlled substances are not prescribed at the initial appointment.
A comprehensive clinical evaluation must be completed first. Controlled medications may be considered at a subsequent appointment when clinically appropriate and consistent with applicable state and federal requirements.
State Restrictions:
We do not prescribe controlled substances, including stimulants or benzodiazepines, to patients who are physically located in Texas, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Arizona at the time of care.
If you are specifically seeking a controlled medication while physically located in one of these states, please do not schedule an appointment for that purpose.
Spravato (Esketamine) Treatment:
Oasis Health Services offers Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray treatment for eligible adults with treatment-resistant depression.
Treatment is administered under medical supervision with the required monitoring in accordance with the Spravato REMS program.
Please note that we provide Spravato® nasal spray treatment and do not provide IV ketamine infusion therapy.
Substance Use Treatment:
We provide medication management and treatment for individuals experiencing substance use disorders, including opioid and alcohol use disorders.
When clinically appropriate, treatment may include medications such as:
• Buprenorphine (Suboxone)
• Naltrexone
• Vivitrol
• Disulfiram (Antabuse)
Treatment is based on a comprehensive clinical assessment and the patient's individual needs.
Payment Information:
A valid payment card must be kept on file for patients who have a copay, coinsurance, deductible, self-pay balance, or other patient responsibility.
Your card on file may be charged for applicable patient balances in accordance with our practice and payment policies.
Please make sure the card on file is current and able to be processed. If your insurance processes the claim and there is a remaining patient balance, the balance may be charged to the card on file.
If you are unsure about your expected copay, deductible, or insurance benefits, we recommend contacting your insurance company before your appointment.

• You are physically located in a state where we can provide the requested service.
• You have selected an appointment time that you can attend.
• You have reviewed our cancellation and no-show policy.

• You are prepared to complete the required intake paperwork within 24 hours of booking.
• You understand that not responding to our office does not automatically cancel your appointment.

This provider initiated medication without taking the time to fully understand my needs or provide adequate explanation. Although I followed through with the prescribed changes, I was met with dismissiveness when I asked questions about my treatment. When I inquired about the reasoning behind changes to my medication regimen, I was told, “Am I supposed to educate you on brain chemistry?” and was directed to look things up online. The provider even stated, “My job is not to educate.” I don’t believe it’s unreasonable for a patient to seek clarity about their care, especially regarding medications, their purpose, and expected outcomes. If you are looking for a collaborative approach, thoughtful communication, and guidance from a provider who respects patient involvement, I would not recommend this one.

I've done virtual meetings. We only had a few issues and I'm guessing it was me. I make things difficult so of course we didn't have my audio for the first 10 minutes but we kept trying and succes! Don't have a clue as to how or why audio started working for maybe 15 min and just as fast as we had audio I lost it...? Don't understand but we tried from scratch again and just totally new call and everything worked well had good while and I think a productive interview.

DO NOT GO IF YOU NEED IMMEDIATE HELP! I didn't feel heard with this provider. Even though I explained my past experience which made me apprehensive about trying new medications, she tried pushing me for a new medication. I explained my medical history and instead of doing tests during the session like other providers do, she asked me to do tests (gene testing & Creyos ADHD test) with her partner companies after the session- which would have been extra since she wasn't sure if insurance would cover it. One of her sentences started with "I'm not saying I don't believe you BUT..." and then she continued on to essentially explain that she didn't believe me. I was so upset after the session, I'm so glad I made an appointment with another provider right away and they actually tested me and listened to me.

Once you get through all of the hurdles of signing up and dealing with the numerous emails they send you, it all works smoothly -- I think, I'm not entirely through the process yet. I got a few confusing emails at first telling me the wrong time zone for the appointment, also telling me the appointment was in person and not online etc. No online link, confusion about the payment. But hopefully I'll get through all of that soon and can just interact with my provider.
