We start by really listening to what’s going on with you and asking questions that will help us correctly diagnose your pain. And because everyone experiences pain differently, we create a personalized treatment plan for you with the goal of minimizing your pain, increasing your functionality, and getting you back to being you as soon as possible.
Founded in 2003 by Dr. Alexander P. Hersel, PMIR Medical Center is staffed with highly experienced, top-level pain and spine specialists who use minimally invasive procedures and non-narcotic pain relief options first line of defense against pain.
Our physicians also collaborate with complementary alternative medicine (CAM) specialists as part of our efforts to treat the whole patient and increase your sense of control over your pain.

I find my former Dr. Speigel and now Dr.Cohen excellent, kind and professional physicians. The new buy out of the surgery center will have a few bumps in communication and changes that are expected as change is never easy. I heard and observed some stressful situations for the surgical center, outside of the operatory experience. The last two procedures I have had concern me as post procedure I have a very stiff neck and headache immediately after and not experienced in all my procedures with either doctor in the past that have been routine since 2015/16. After having a headache and stiff neck in recovery, the nurse said she could request meds., I said I would take them at home. After talking to Cohen on Wed., as still feeling bad, I shared my concern about the anesthesia being different. Dr. Cohen did not prescribe what I was given. The anesthesiologist gave me someone elses directions as he was confused and did not speak to me in my room he did it in a hall. Not again!
