I went in for my appointment and realized around a month later that I never received a follow up with my lab results. The first time I called, reception said I would get a call within a certain window of time the next day. I received a check-in text which I filled out, but did not receive a call. When I called the office back, they provided a new date/time where a nurse practitioner would call, so I went through the process again but still never heard from anyone. The unfortunate lack of communication was frustrating.

Unfortunately I do not recommend this office or this doctor. Not very clear communication or bedside manner. I went in with a specific concern that I’ve been dealing with for a while but it was brushed off and I was just told to take a pregnancy test… which I’ve already taken. I was looking forward to any kind of clarity on the health concern I have but the entire appointment felt incredibly rushed and my concerns were not heard. I do not recommend as a new patient looking for long term care. Especially if you have a concern you’d at least some professional insight/explanation on.They seem too busy and are not engaged with patients. It didn’t feel like a comfortable experience and I did not feel like my health or peace of mind was of any concern at all. I still haven’t gotten a call about my results and was told I have to call and schedule an appointment to go over them?! What if something is seriously wrong? Is the pregnancy test positive or negative? I’m still completely in the dark.

Everyone was friendly and I got taken into the room almost immediately. The doctor set me up with a couple follow up appointments at other clinics. It all went smooth.

First time with Doctor Pourzand she made me feel very comfortable from the moment she entered the room. I felt like I was getting care and advise from a friend. She was extremely professional, kind and gave great suggestions in regards to my concerns. I am so relieved to have found her after moving to the area 2 years ago, not knowing anyone and having had poor experiences in the past elsewhere. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for personalized care.

I was very uncomfortable during the actual appointment. The staff was great, but it ended there. The doctor was rough and extremely unkind. I would not recommend her, and I will not be going back.

Very good and efficient. I just needed my annual pap smear. I was late due to difficulty getting an uber, but I called the office to let them know and they still were able to accomodate me no problem. The nurses/staff were polite with pleasant demeanor. The visit with the doctor was very short, she came in, spoke briefly, calmly instructed me how to position, spoke out what she was doing as she did it, got the sample, then boom done. Painless and easy experience.

I’m hoping that this will help the office improve so they can help their customers better. I came in for my first appointment, and everything was very rushed. I tried to ask questions, but as others have mentioned on here the doctor came off as impatient and didn’t have a great attitude while in the space. The assistants were coming in and out of the room which was also very uncomfortable for a new patient. I told them it was my first time and first pap smear (which I wasn’t planning on getting during this appointment, but again, hasty communication on their part and before I knew it my legs were up and things had started). The doctor didn’t address my specific concerns and had a very poor bedside manner. It definitely wasn’t a welcoming space. I got so overwhelmed with the situation that I actually stopped the appointment and left the office crying. Unfortunately it was traumatizing and I hope it doesn’t happen to any future patients. Please treat your patients with respect and care.

I recently moved and picked a female gyno to feel safe. However that was not the case here. I waited about 45 min to get into the appointment, then I went to the room and sat there half naked for about 30 mins. I felt really uncomfortable. Then the doctor came in and was very rude. I was having pain in my chest and she just rolled her eyes and blamed it on my anxiety. So I said okay and brushed it off, then the laid me down for the exam and without any warning, put the metal thing in. Very painful. I've never experienced pain like this at my old gyno. I told her "it's hurting me" she then put it in further and I tensed up and told her again, its hurting really bad. She had me cough to "relax" and put the pap smear in without warning so it started hurting worse and at this point I was in a state of panic and shock. Any other gyno would communicate and make you feel safe and comfortable, especially if you are a victim of SA. Cried all the way home. No one should leave feeling this way.

This was my first time with Dr. Pourzand. She was efficient and clear about my options. I have serious anxiety around this sort of medical checkup due to previous incidents with other doctors but Dr. Pourzand received me with calm clarity. I learned about the next steps and working toward having my own family. I look forward to my next appointment. Thank you.

I’ve never had an annual check-up where I needed a follow up telemedicine appointment to discuss results. Even so, I was available at the specific time they wrote down, checked in virtually via a link texted to me, and didn’t get the call or any information on how they were going to contact me. I took time out of work for the call so I called the office and they said she would call between 9am to 3pm instead of the specific time they wrote down.
The doctor was nice and professional. However, the office is insanely disorganized - from the moment I got there when I was ignored for 5 minutes to the 1.5hrs I wait for the doctor to be available and for the poor communication with the mandatory follow up appointment.

This doctor was rude and generally unpleasant. It was my first time at an obgyn office and when she went to do a sonogram through my vagina and I tensed up, she immediately told me stop being tense and didn’t take into account that it was my first time. She then went on to do an exam through an ultrasound and pressed down on me so hard but I was already annoyed so I didn’t say anything so it could be over faster. The nurse before her was so nice but the doctor was just mean. 0/10 recommend!

I liked Dr. Pourzand. I’ll definitely keep going to her. She gave me some great advice on my health. She did talk me through everything she was doing during the exam but it was a bit rushed and not extremely gentle. I have a fine tolerance for gyn exams but someone who may need a bit more of a trauma-informed approach may need to speak up before she begins the exam or look for a doctor that offers trauma-informed care specifically.

Dr. Pourzand took her time listening to my concerns, explaining her proposed plan of action, and making me feel comfortable. I didn’t feel rushed for a second and felt it was a safe environment to ask questions. I was very antsy waiting for test results and called the office a few times, but as soon as they had my results Dr. Pourzand called me and talked me through them in an extensive and reassuring way, same as my in-office experience.

Last week I was a new patient w/Dr. Pourzand. Called ahead to get a consultation/check on my IUD/pain. During it, she gave me an ultrasound that wasn't super gentle, a "let's get to it" attitude. Got a paper skirt instead of a gown. I thought it made sense to get my yearly pap smear but she said that I should come back into the office in 2 weeks to do it because I could get a consultation for my hormone test results also. She was okay with me asking some questions, but seemed I was taking up too much of her time- She told me to meet in her office after if I had more Qs (so another patient could go into the ultrasound room?), but in her office I felt she was still too busy to answer my Qs. She did get noticeably frustrated with me when I asked a similar question a second time.
I prefer a more gentler experience w/a gynecologist. My new doctor let me do a hormone test and ask as many questions as I wanted. & I only needed a phone call to talk about hormone test results.

I am new to the area and was seeking to find a GYN health provider. My mother had breast cancer at a very young age so it is extremely important for regular screenings and regular yearly check ups.
The staff was thorough in getting information about my health from me, but seemed surprised that I opted not to have children and have never been pregnant as a woman in my mid 40s. I did receive a prescription for my yearly mammo, but I was not given an in office breast exam. I did get a yearly pap test, but I have not received my results yet. Results are delivered through a phone call appointment, and so far I have been ghosted on 2 such appointments (which is odd, considering you have to check in for this appointment). I will find another provider; the general vibe I got was that my health is an inconvenience.

beware. the office makes you schedule an appointment to get your results (whenever she is available- could be 1-2 weeks) and then bills your insurance/you for the appt TO GET YOUR RESULTS. i find this bizarre and unethical.

Dr. Pourzand was extremely pleasant and informative! This is my 6th child and I’ve had some uneasy obgyn’s, but she never made me feel rushed or like she wasn’t here to listen to my needs and concerns!!! Highly recommended
