Dr. Sedi Flugelman is a relatively warm and welcoming therapist. She wasn’t quite sensitive to my concerns, but she made it clear that some of them were outside her area of expertise.
Great listener and positive persona
She was very polite, direct, helpful, and friendly. I was able to feel comfortable quite quickly at my initial, and only, visit. Due to limiting factors and after assessing my situation, she recommended that I worked with a doctor that allows for easier access. While this was established, if not by the middle of the session, a bit before, we still carried out a full conversation where she was offering insights into my needs and providing recommendations to begin improving my psychological well-being. I respect that she kept trying to help all the way through instead of cutting it short knowing we may never meet again. Because of that, the comfort I felt with her, and her seemingly great experience and knowledge, I plan to check in with her in the future when my limiting factor changes to see if she would like to work with me.
Took the time to listen to my problem and provide guidance which made me hopeful and motivated to tackle the issue, despite not being her area of expertise. She also referred me in the right direction.

One of the best things that happened to my life in 2020 was finding Dr Flugelman as my therapist. I have seen someone before her for almost two years, and when I start seeing Dr. Flugelman for a month it had already helped achieve/ realize so much more than those two year in total with the other doctor. Dr. Flugelman is professional, extremely patient, she is graceful, kind, and intelligent. She is engaging, her way of treating patients is not ordinary or passive. She helped me seeing things through different angels, she helped me discover the deeper thoughts I had behind the problems I presented to her, she always inspire me to be kind and treat people with the equal respect as I want from the others. She encouraged me to stay focused with my goals and motivate me with ideas. One thing really helped me and if you are in the same position as me who are coming from a multicultural background - Dr. Flugelman is the perfect person for you because she understands, she is extremely cultured, knowledgeable about cultures and open minded, she will put herself in your situation and help you understand what you have going through with a mindset understanding your background. I would say I have found a gem and I feel grateful everyday to have her in my life??
