I have seen many, MANY, psychiatrists over the years. I have never felt like they have ever truly listened to my feelings or took me seriously. Peter Stoyanov, APRN, has been my psychiatrist since 2021. That alone should say it all. To elaborate, he takes the time to listen to me, I truly feel as though he cares. Peter is always adjusting my treatment plan based on our results. He explains the choices of medication thoroughly; he is great at making it clear so I can understand. As someone who has seen multiple practitioners, and taken multiple different medications, this is the best I have ever felt. He is also very responsive on patient portal. I have had to reach out multiple times for emergent refills, questions, and it has never taken long to hear back. I’ve recommended him to friends/family, 2 of which have started seeing him as well. This review is lengthy, because I sincerely do feel highly of him.

I highly recommend Mr. Peter Stoyanov for anyone who needs mental health care. Mr. Stoyanov takes his time with me and helps me with both mental health and getting my prescriptions I need. He takes the time to find out which medications are best for me. He takes as long as the patient needs, he never rushes me, and I feel I am getting superior mental health care. He has always helped me, but he also helps my family, as due to the care I receive, I am easier for my family to deal with. I cant recommend him enough, he is awesome and really helps his patients, we are not treated like just a number, Peter really cares about his patients.

He made some comments that were completely inappropriate to make to someone who suffers daily with anxiety and depression. I'm certain that he does not understand anxiety. I have made an appt with my previous doctor and will not aee this NP again. He also made a comment that my son having Autism shouldn't be a source of anxiety. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume he doesn't have a child on the spectrum.
