Dr. Garrett Tom was born and raised in New Jersey before moving to Maryland. After graduating from the University of Maryland Dental School and receiving his DDS, Dr. Tom has been dedicated to providing quality dental care to his patients. In his spare time Dr. Tom enjoys working out and cooking!

The staff at Pikesville Family Dentistry was very friendly. They were very upfront about the cost and communicated clearly what needed to take place. I haven’t gotten any procedures don’t yet just a dental exam but i’m looking forward to seeing how the procedures go.

The dentist and hygienists were awesome and I enjoyed working with them. Who I did not enjoy working with was the front desk. What is more shocking is how the front desk villainize their patients in the dentist note's portal once a disagreement happens. This happened because their appointment policy is malleable up to the discretion of the front desk. They mentioned if my appointment is on Tuesday, I would need to let them know by Friday if I need to cancel/reschedule. I did inquire about rescheduling due to sudden change in my schedule, and they refused to cancel/reschedule.
At the end we agreed to keep the appointment the same date and time. I show up, and find out when I went to the office in their notes that the staff wrote I was "FIGHTING" and writing every word I did NOT say in capital letter, in effort to angelize themselves and villainize me. Extremely disappointed that it ends this way. Really wished to keep this dentist office, but fair to say I am not coming back again.

For me being a first time patient, they have redefined the patient experience for me!! The greeting as soon as I walked in the door, the tour of the office, Lacey and Tom being so considerate and transparent, oh and the New Patient Gift Bag ( Bonus), I was comfortable beyond satisfaction. I'm sorry I can't remember the lady's name who greeted me but she was wonderful! Whatever pain I was in was overshadowed by the patient experience and the environment. I'd recommend this Dentis to anybody who cares about the Customer Experience!!
